The following study was made (in the field of the CARE Project , Accessible Cities of European Regions) by AIAS Milano Onlus together with the Lombardy Region D.G.Famiglia e Solidarietà Sociale and the Lombardy Region D.G. Casa e Opere Pubbliche
Its purpose is:
1. to monitor accessibility for disabled passengers of Lombardy’s public transport system 2.to evaluate weak and strong points 3. to create a database containing all information on the transport companies interviewed and on the relative infrastructures 4. to develop a methodology of analysis and intervention that might be applied also to other geographical contexts
